His father was a handyman and worked at Langley Air Force Base as a custodian.

 

His brother Terry Kirby was a former NFL running back (10 seasons for the Browns and Raiders).

Kenny was a softball player who played on a world championship slow-pitch team. He owns a trucking operation in Yorktown, Virgina. 

​

Wayne is friends with Scott Servais - Texas Rangers' senior director for player development

Playing Career:

He was a former right fielder in the MLB (1991 - 1998)

 

1983 - Drafted in the by the Los Angeles Dodgers (13th round)

 

1990 - Signed by Cleveland (only played 21 games)

 

In 1198 MLB at bats he had a batting average of .252, 14 home runs, and 44 stolen bases.

Coaching Career:

 

After retiring he worked as the outfield/base-running coordinator for the Texas Rangers.

​

2011 - Began working for the Baltimore Orioles.
