2009 - Played for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

2016 - July 23rd - While on the White Sox, the team was suppose to wear 'throwback uniforms'. Sale was didn't like the jerseys so he took scissors and cut up the uniforms. The White Sox sent him home and scratched him from his next start.
