2017 - After the United States banned travel to many Muslim countries Fowler was unable to take his daughter to Iran to see her grandmother. He was quoted saying, "It’s huge. Especially anytime you’re not able to see family, it’s unfortunate". Cardinals fans (and others) attacked him on social media for the comment.
