2002 - Signed as by the Seattle Mariners ($700,000+) at age 16.

 

2005 - August 4th - Major League debut with the Seattle Mariners.

 

2008 - Threw an "immaculate inning" (striking out the side on nine pitches).

 

2012 - August 15th - he threw a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays.

 

2013 - Signed a 7-year extension with the Mariners ($175 million).

Kings Court: In 2011 the Seattle marketing department organized a special cheering section for him they call "King's Court" at Safeco Field.

 

Idol: Freddy García - Hernandez decided to go to Seattle because of him.

 

He owns a home in Clyde Hill, Washington. (9040 NE 14th St, Clyde Hill, WA).

A home that he owned in Bellevue had a fire in 2013 and caused a lot of damage (estimated at 250,000). The fire started in the laundry room when neither he nor his wife were home (see picture).

2013 - October - Wife of Mariners teammate Carlos Peguero (Maria Peguero) was charged with three counts of fraud after (allegedly) spending $180,000 using a debit card belonging to Hernandez’s wife Sandra.
