2012 - traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers (with Randy Choate) for Nathan Eovaldi and Scott McGough.
 

2013 - Played with the Dominican team during the 2013 World Baseball Classic. In the championship game against Puerto Rico he injured his hand while diving for a ball. He ended up missing the first two months of the MLB season.


2014 - Signed a 4-year deal with the Boston Red Sox ($88 million).
