Scouted and signed by Jeremy Cleveland.

2010 - Drafted by the San Francisco Giants (168th overall).

2013 - September 3rd - Major League debut with the San Francisco Giants.

2014 - Traded from the Giants (with Edwin Escobar) to the Boston Red Sox for Jake Peavy.

Extra:

When Rusney Castillo was signed by the Red Sox they promised him he could wear #38 which forced Hembree to change his number.

The San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2012 and 2014. Hembree was called up in 2013 and traded in 2014. The Red Sox won the World Series the year before he joined.

People used to call him Kenny Powers (from the show 'Eastbound and Down) based on his long hair.
