In December 2017 Segura accused the Dominican Republic National Police of assaulting him, holding him at gunpoint and stealing his personal belongings. He posted a picture on Instagram of the Central Anti-Narcotics Direction (DICAN) where he explained what they did. He has since deleted the post.
