2011 - Drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the (13th round) but did not sign.

2012 - Drafted by the San Diego Padres in the (5th round).

2014 - After the season traded by the Padres ( with Dustin Peterson, Max Fried, and Jace Peterson) to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Justin Upton and Aaron Northcraft.

2017 - Traded from the Braves (with Shae Simmons) to the Seattle Mariners for Luiz Gohara and Thomas Burrows.

2017 - Traded (on the same day as above) by the Mariners (with Ryan Yarbrough, and Carlos Vargas) to the Tampa Bay Rays for Drew Smyly.
