2013 - Stroman was suspended 50 games after testing positive for Methylhexaneamine, a stimulant with a chemical compound similar to amphetamines. It's an ingredient found in several products, including supplements and nasal decongestants, but is on MLB's banned substance list.


He was a Mets fan growing up.

 
In 2009 he said Jimmy Rollins as his favorite baseball player.

He owns an apparel company called "HDMH" (Height Doesn't Measure Heart).

He has the tattoos "Dreamchaser" down one arm and "BREAKING STEREOTYPES" along a forearm.

2014 - After throwing a pitch at Caleb Joseph, Orioles manager Buck Showalter verbally attacked Stroman. Afterwards he called the pitch, "embarrassing".

​

2017 - Stroman had an argument on the mound with Tim Anderson. Anderson asked for a timeout while Stroman was already into his wind-up. The two yelled back and forth and then made a few comments after the game.
