2017 - Joyce was suspended for yelling an anti-gay slur at a fan. "As Joyce returned to the dugout, he uttered several profanities at the fan, called him an anti-gay slur and challenged him to fight, according to Associated Press photographer Mark J. Terrill, who overheard the exchange."


He played for Cibao in the Liga de Beisbol Dominicano after a terrible 2015 season.
