2006 - Traded from the Seattle Mariners (with Shawn Nottingham) to Cleveland for Ben Broussard.
2012 - Traded from Cleveland to the Cincinnati Reds. It was a three team trade (Arizona Diamondbacks) involving nine players. The trade brought Trevor Bauer, Matt Albers, Bryan Shaw, and Drew Stubbs to Cleveland.
2013 - Signed a 7-year contract with the Texas Rangers ($130 million). The New York Yankees also offered him a 7-year deal worth $140 million; however Choo and his agent Scott Boras rejected the offer.
