2013 - Drafed by the Colorado Rockies in the Rule 5 Draft.

2015 - Traded from the Rockies to the Chicago White Sox for Yency Almonte.


2017 - Traded from the White Sox (with Todd Frazier and David Robertson) to the New York Yankees for Blake Rutherford, Tyler Clippard, Ian Clarkin, and Tito Polo.

2017 - He was ejected after throwing a pitch behind Miguel Cabrera, leading to a fight between Austin Romine and Cabrera and a bench-clearing brawl.

2017 - LeTroy Hawkins (former MLB player) said that Kahnle was, "One of the worst teammates I've ever had in my life, by far. And I've had a lot of teammates." According to Hawkins the two got into a fight in 2014 while they were both pitching for the Rockies. 


He was a big wrestling fan growing up and idolized Bret "The Hitman" Hart and Sting.
