2012 - Traded from the Royals (with Jake Odorizzi, Patrick Leonard and Mike Montgomery) to the Tampa Bay Rays for James Shields, Wade Davis, and Elliot Johnson.

 

2013 - June 18th - Major League debut with the Tampa Bay Rays.

 

2014 - Traded from the Rays (with Ryan Hanigan and Jose Castillo) to the San Diego Padres (3-team traded with the Washington Nationals). 

 

2017 - He hit for the cycle.

After signing a contract with the Padres he said in an interview, “The Chargers left, and I signed right after that. The more I thought about it I was like, ‘Crap. This is crazy!’ Not to sound all arrogant, but it’s kind of like I’m the face of San Diego sports now."
