2011 - He was arguing a called strike with umpire Rob Drake and began bumping him with his chest multiple times before spitting on him. He said later that he did not intend to spit on the umpire and that he "was caught up in the moment. That's what happens when you're caught up in the race and trying to win. I didn't handle it the right way." He received a 5-game suspension.
2014 - During the NLDS against the Dodgers a batter was hit and the benches cleared. Umpire Jerry Meals attempted to break up Molina and the player he was fighting with (Adrián González) at which point Molina shoved Meals. Molina was fined $5,000 (no suspension).
2015 - He bought a home on Allegro Lake Estates Drive, Creve Coeur, Missouri (pictures).
2017 - Molina wanted Adam Jones to apologize for saying that the United States World Baseball Classic team was planning a postgame party prior to the championship game between the USA and Puerto Rico.
He called out Willson Contreras after he said, "I used to watch a lot of those guys, but now I’m watching myself because I know that I’m going to be better than them". Molina responded, "Respeten los rangos NOVATOS!! aqui con los q si han probao que son los duros!! @salvadorp13 @busterposey" (Respect the ranks - Salvador Perez and Buster Posey have proven themselves).
