His step-father was taken in the 1976 Major League Baseball draft by the California Angels. After his playing career he coached at Barstow Community College in Southern California.

He was raised by his step-father and mother.

He was close friends with Marcus Stroman but there were rumors the two are not as close as they once were (they were roommates for over 3 years).

2010 - Drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays (34th overall).

2014 - July 23rd - Major League debut with the Toronto Blue Jays.

 

2017 - On April 16th he went on the 10-day DL with a finger blister. The blister continued to cause him issues the entire season.

In Barstow, October 20, 2014, is "Aaron Sanchez Day".


Aaron tried to quit baseball at age 13 but his step-father wouldn't allow him.


Grew up an Angels fan.
